At Home with Fred

You can’t argue with the convenience of standard sofa sizing, but it's the custom projects which we at Franka live for… We believe a design solution should always be functional (as well as gorgeous) and in turn, will always be unique to the space.

Below are two of our current favourite custom Fred sofas. Both clients utilised customisation in frame shape, width, length and fabric application to create two completely unique sofas.

Both still fundamentally Fred.

Bondi Project by Henrietta Summerhayes

Custom configuration and comfort were top priority for this bespoke delivery. The sofa for the narrow living space needed to feel modern, spacious and work with existing pieces in the room.

The outcome of our collaboration is this tidy corner four-seater (!!!) covered in our beautiful Electra Velvet in Rust. 

We're all thrilled with the outcome with this beautiful project!

Cremorne Project by Studio By Jacs

It was the elegant lines of the Fred sofa that drew in Jacs’s client, but they wanted something more substantial in the shape to fit alongside the overall mid-century tone of the room.

We sketched up a wider arm and worked with our local workroom to deliver the final product in the sumptuous Electra Velvet in Green.
